“Doing yoga allows children to exercise, play, connect more deeply with their inner selves and develop an honest relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. What’s not to love? Children have a beautiful playful inner light, and it’s incredible to see this inner light shine through.”

Katie Chandler, the yoga teacher at the Push Summer Camp explains the importance of kids’ yoga.

WHY KATIE?

Katie’s own journey started with an interest in health and well being that drew her to the realms of nutrition, anatomy, and exercise before stumbling on yoga thanks to YouTube.  That turned out to be a revelation, and what followed was yoga certification in Cape Town, then a 200 hour yoga training in alignment-based Vinyasa from Wellness Connection, a 50 kids’ yoga training from Yogalini, and aerial yoga training from the Yoga Mala.  Katie brings those skills to the Push Summer Camp where the kids enjoy yoga as the perfect physical and mental preparation for climbing. As well as gracing the Push Summer Camp Katie can be found teaching adults the joys of aerial yoga at Ha’s Boutique Yoga Studio, 204 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, ward 6, district 3.

WHY PUSH?

Climbing and kids’ well being are more closely linked than you might think. As well as teaching kids confidence and climbing skills our Summer Camps, like our adult climbing courses, are all about creating a comfortable, relaxed, safe, space to grow in.
